A Distant Shore

There was no school today because we declared it a holiday in lieu of Polling Day, and so instead of having lessons, we planned a simple but very enjoyable morning at East Coast Park. The purpose of the event was to get together, to have fun, and to say goodbye and a huge 'thank you' to our 3 graduating choir members, Nadiah, Marselly and Amirah for their years in the garden.

We had our farewell ceremony... Zhafri's started a new annual tradition of burying graduating members in the sand and singing to them. All the graduating members and current Sec 3 choir members swear that they'll come back when Zhafri graduates to make sure he gets buried in the sand too!

And after that... we had tremendous fun playing in the sea and on the beach too. Everyone got soggy and wet, and it was an afternoon to remember

We all go back to lessons tomorrow again, and we'll be going full steam for preparation for the choral exam on the 2nd August. It'll be loads of hard work, which will pay off to great success if we put our minds to it, and soon it'll be time to celebrate once again, as a choir, united in song.
