we!!!at the Blue Moo cafe!!!
alphie,jerylboiboi and i,shawnkie,went to the blue moo cafe at the YMCA yesterday to see the Key Element performance...it was great and we got the front table which we can see them clearly as in very clearly...we oso learn a few skills bout the drop jaw thingy and some others..

Regarding the Consonance Concert
Dear Choir,
Please remember to hand up your (1) Consonance concert consent form (2) Edusave form/$12.00 cash (if you do not have Edusave) by Monday morning latest. Come find me in the staffroom during the lower Sec recess or before the morning assembly. No edusave form, no free show... I need the time to allow the forms to process so its ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for you to hand them in by Monday. The outing to the Consonance concert is a choir event, accompanied by teachers and with transport provided. All choir members are required to attend this, and the school is making it possible for you to attend for free.
Will the people who have left their choir costume in the music room please bring them home and get them washed and ironed? The costumes need to be maintained and are expensive - we will be very cross if they get damaged due to neglect. In case you haven't realized, the music room is not just the choir's room. I take my music and drama classes into the room, and we also have other CCA groups that use the room in addition to us - if things get lost or damaged when we are not around, tracing the culprit is almost impossible.
And another friendly reminder that while the choral exam is over and our stress levels have all decreased after months of slogging at 3 pieces, it is still compulsory to attend choir practices. This means that if you don't turn up without any reason, it is considered an act of truancy and is punishable with detention and what other things DM can do to you. Things like projects, tuition, part-time jobs and other programmes that clash with choir must be run by me before I decide whether you need to be there or at choir. CCA hours are part of your school hours - its NOT optional.
We have 35 members officially, but at every given practice, I get and average of 65% attendance. That's not good. Please do something about it. 'Nuff said.

Pamugun
nice rendition of a filipino song. for those who'll listen to the song, its about the chase between the hunter and the bird "pamugun" or sparrow. the hunter (male voices)is calling the bird to show itself. the bird (female voices) is singing to herself that she is a bird. a chase starts and the bird finally gets tired. (napagud aku) finally the hunter takes a shot and mortally wounds the bird. the hunter calls to the bird so that it can find it.

Lion Sleeps Tonight....
This is a little overdue, but something to enjoy, nonetheless...Just a reminder about Friday:
1. Assemble at the foyer at 1.30pm sharp.
2. Pls. bring back consent forms (signed).
3. You can wear either your PE t-shirt or choir t-shirt with your school skirt or pants. You need to wear either your school shoes, or if you wish, change to sports shoes which may perhaps, help you move faster (!?)
4. Please make sure you have at least $2 in your EZlink card. For your own purposes, you may wish to have about $4.00 with you in cash.
5. If you have a digital camera, or phone camera, please bring it. Some of the tasks will involve taking pictures.
6. A return trip has been arranged, so don't worry about transport back to school. We should reach school by 5.30pm latest.
7. You may also wish to bring drinking water with you, as you will be moving around a lot. Hats and sunglasses are welcome as well as there may be sun... umbrellas are also a good idea as this outing will carry on even if its raining. You may leave bags with me in school as we'll all be returning to school at the end of the activity. Debrief and follow-up activity will be conducted next Wednesday.
Anyone with any enquiries can leave a note on the blog tagboard, msn me or sms me (if you know the number). Pls. note that this activity is compulsory for all choir members, but optional for those who are joining us for the Choral Exam & SYF project as they may have other CCA commitments on that day.

Key Elements at Blue Moo!
Dear all,Key Elements will be performing in August ! Yup, right at the heart of the city at the YMCA Orchard. So do come and support us.
Blue Moo is a cool cafe joint at the rooftop of the YMCA@Orchard. No alcoholic beverages are served but they have some pretty innovative drinks that will make you crave for more ! So for an alternative evening, why not unwind under the stars with cool drinks and cool jazz....
blue Moo will be in action in August ! This time we will be featuring a new local vocal group - Key Elements (KE) at blue Moo on 25 Aug 2006 ! KE formed in 2001 and hails from well-known groups like In-A-Chord, Inpromptu, In Transit and Bcoz. Getting Costumed
Getting the girls fitted for their costumes was one of the easiest things - you would think they were professionals from the way they changed, got adjustments measured and changed back in a jiffy as if they did that sort of thing every day... but the boys, oh my! They spent a whole hour admiring themselves, taking photos of themselves, and probably had never worn a full suit like this before the day we did their costume fitting...
OK lah, they actually look quite handsome... will have to see to combing down their hair with hair cream to match the look of their choir costume.
